In 1991, the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT) was established to create low-volume, factory-produced vehicles specifically designed for Performance, Substance, Exclusivity and Value. These are the four SVT Hallmarks that have driven the creation of the SVT Cobra, the SVT F-150 Lightning, and the SVT Focus.

The Ford SVT has one overall mission: to create a vehicle specifically designed to meet unique needs and desires of the knowledgeable driving enthusiast.

"SVT is celebrating its 10th year in the performance vehicle business, and what better way to commemorate the anniversary than sharing with our customers two special edition vehicles," said Mike Zevalkink, Ford Performance Group director.

Limited-production SVT products are sold only through specially trained and SVT certified Ford dealers in North America who are prepared to satisfy discriminating driving enthusiasts before, during and after the sale.
